When comparing our statistics, please bare in mind that in Hong Kong, we have on average, ~8 All Breed dog shows a year. Therefore, it would be unrealistic to compare wins and merits against, say, a dog in the U.S./U.K., where they have specialty shows weekly, all breed shows, and nationals. |

Retrievers are a sporting dog. They are bred to hunt games in forests and other natural environment. Therefore, we believe that the single most important aspect of a Golden Retriever is the overall balance. No single feature of the dog should destroy the overall balance. Quoting from the AKC standard: “Overall appearance, balance, gait and purpose to be given more emphasis than any of his component parts.” Nor do we promote oversized Retrievers. In fact, if you read the AKC standards, they penalize for oversized (or undersized) Retrievers to the extent of disqualification! In other words, we strive to ensure that our Retrievers are properly proportioned, with no exaggerated features, as balanced as possible, and also with beautifully structured head which gives the smiling, happy, and friendly expression that Golden Retrievers are so famous for. This is what you will find in our Golden Retrievers. We encourage you to follow and read the following link. AKC Standard: Golden Retriever |
