Most people believe that beautiful Chow Chows are the ones with a really big head, along with as many ‘folds’ as possible on the face to enhance the ‘scowl’ expression. We thought so too, until a quick visit to Man Kou Chow and Royals Chow in the United States. Over there, Camille and Tony showed us what beautiful Chows should look (in accordance to the American Kennel Club standards). This is one reason why we started showing Chows in Hong Kong, in order to pass the knowledge to Hong Kong as to what the standard of this breed should truly look like.

Take a look at both Hammi and Tio below. You can see instantly of the long arms and legs, equal in length, with a 1:1 ratio of the body and arms/leg. You can also see how both their shoulders are squared and wide, and their bodies are squared almost like a box. A beautiful Chow is all about balance and structure.
